Quality tools

These are beautifully made blades. Very sharp out of the box, polished and robustly built. The handles are perhaps, a little heavy, but that has not detracted from their utility. I would purchase this again and look forward to adding other Carter tools to my collection.

I was just finishing up a small project when your tools arrived, so I didn't get a chance to really put them to thr test. I was also ready to rebuild the stand for my lathe. That's completed now and I'm ready to start a number of bowls and platter.

The little turning I have done I was vary pleased with how tools cut cleanly. Vary little sanding. I was surprised by the weight when I first picked them up, but soon realized it helped reduce chatter during the early stages of turning. I'm looking forward to the next couple of day. As for the scraper, the results weren't what I expected. I'll admit that I haven't used it much, so I would not put to much on the results. Its just a learning curve.

I am new to woodturning. I studied many woodturners and discovered something. I noticed many have multiple tool sets by other manufacturers and that they prefer Carter and Son tools.I didn't want a collection of tools. That gets expensive.
